Time for a quick update......(PIC HEAVY!!!)

Where does the time go!!!!?????
I can't believe it has been almost a month since I posted on here!! Shame on me!
I have been keeping busy with lots of orders!! Thanks to everyone that has ordered straps, etc. from my etsy shop!!
I have added a few new straps lately and am working on a few more new styles.
Let's see, over the last month I have made a couple tote bags for birthday gifts for friends of my youngest daughter, I appliqued some Disney stuff for my sister-in-law and her family for their trip to Disney (hope they are having fun there right now!), made a spa towel wrap for older daughter's friend, made a tennis towel for my SIL!
Here's pics of most of them !

Been having so much fun with my new toy, haven't posted in awhile!!!

As I posted before (yes way before!! didn't realize how long it had been since I posted!!) I got a new embroidery only machine for my birthday/Christmas. I really have been having so much fun with it!! I have been perusing some great embroidery sites, including this GREAT forum that I found: sewforum.com
It has been great for asking questions and there a ton of SUPER talented people on there that are so generous to share their designs that they have digistized.
I made the girls, my niece and my little neighbor some really cute shirts for Valentine's.

New straps and a T-shirt

I've recently added some new camera straps to my etsy shop. I simply cannot resist all the new fabrics that I have seen at the stores!!!
Here is just a sampling of a couple of them. I recently made this t-shirt at the request of a friend. I loved the idea so much I made one for myself in just a little bit different fabric selections. I know everytime I wear mine I get compliments on it, I may have to add some of these to my etsy shop. (I added a close up pic so you could hopefully see the hot fix swavorski crystals on it)

A few new things for the NEW year.....

Christmas was a busy time!! Right before Christmas I received my birthday/Christmas present!!! A Brother embroidery only machine!!!! It is so VERY fun to play with and make fun things!!! It didn't take me long to start embroidering and appliqueing things!!! I found a great forum where so many sweet ladies share their designs!! I did kitchen towels for the girls teachers for Christmas gifts, I think they liked them. I did not get the best pictures of them but you can get the idea!

I made the girls shirts with this cute Santa "stamp" and embellished with hot fix crystals.

I've been having a lot of fun "playing" with my new toy!

I have some new camera straps in my shop!

Long time no update.......tis the season!

Life has been crazy as usual! That should be no excuse for not updating! (And this has turned into a VERY long post!!)

It seems like December 1st gets here and all heck breaks loose with all kinds of things to do! Neighborhood Christmas parties, Bunco parties, gearing up for the kid's class parties, I know I am not the only one!

We were able to go last weekend down to Bolivar with a group from our church to help with a Christmas Celebration at one of the Methodist Churches there. My husband had been down there one Saturday helping with some clean up efforts and been able to see it first hand, but this was the first time for the girls and I. SO very sad to see it with my own eyes. I knew it was bad, but as we got farther in on the peninsula and was able to see some of the places that we have frequented for the last 3 summers, I cried! Yes, I was sad about it, but I was crying for all that was lost there, the loss of so very much!! Bolivar will always be a special place for us, we have so many good memories there. The people that we encountered each time we were there were always so friendly and nice. Bolivar will come back, it will just take time and lots of prayer!

Here is just one of the pics I took, this is where the beach house stood that we had rented the last 2 summers. It was 3rd row. Nothing left but the slab. The man that owned this lost his three other houses as well.
Oh and it SNOWED here on Wednesday!!! In HOUSTON we had SNOW!!!!!!!!! I don't know who was more excited me or the kids!

Here are a few projects that I have been working on.
This is a pillowcase that my oldest gave her sweet friend for her birthday last week. This is different than the ones I had done before but LOVE it so much better than the others!!!

A few small zip pouch/key fob combos that a friend ordered to give as teacher gifts. You can find all of these in my my etsy shop

This is a cute little Christmas card case. Perfect to give a gift card in or hold your business cards or credit cards, also in my etsy shop. I made this towel and pot holder set to take for the gift exchange at the neighborhood ladies Christmas party.
These towels I'm keeping for ME!!

New Camera Strap!

I recently made this camera strap to add to my etsy shop. It is made with 12 different Amy Butler and Heather Bailey fabrics. It is usually so hard for me to pick just one fabric for something so this time I just used all 12!! Oh and this one has a PINK nylon webbing strap to attach to your camera instead of the normal black, FUN!!
This second strap was a custom order for a customer in Hawaii for her son, I thought these fabrics were perfect!

KEY FOBS and CARD CASES GALORE!!!

I have been bad about updating lately, it's just been so crazy!

There are way too many projects I would like to do and not enough time or energy!!! :) (I just need longer days!!)

Here are some key fobs that I have made recently and some of the card cases I did for an order.
Both of these items make GREAT gifts! A friend just bought a few of the key fobs that she is going to tie on the top of presents. I love using mine! It really helps if I have my hands full, I have that on my wrist already and can easily unlock my car without having to dig in my purse!

The card cases have MULTIPLE uses!! You can use them for your business cards, carry your credit cards/ID, or give that special someone a gift card in a cute "envelope" they can re-use!!! My daughters use one in their lunch boxes to hold their ice cream money so it doesn't scatter all over the place.

This is just a small sampling of the ones I did for this order and have some available in my etsy shop!

I haven't been posting much latey.........

but I have been busy sewing!

My youngest daughter's birthday party was last weekend and we had her party here at home. We could not have asked for more perfect weather for her backyard carnival birthday party!!

I didn't get pictures of them but I made the party favor bags out of some cute fun fabric I found at wal-mart. And then I decided that I was not going to pay $20 for a plastic pennant flag thing to string up outside along the path to the backyard so I made one of those too! I made one for under $5! I will have to pull them out and take pics later they all turned out so cute!
I embellished an outfit for my daughter as part of her birthday present. She had kind of helped pick out the fabrics that I would use, Farmer's Market by Sandi Henderson. I absolutely love these fabrics, they are so bright and vivid!!

I will post some more tomorrow on the other things that I have been busy making!
Thanks for visiting!!!
